Insurance and Vision Plans
MEDICAL COVERAGE:
We participate with most all medical insurances including but not limited to: Medicare, United Health Care, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, The Empire Plan, MVP, Cigna, CDPHP, Aetna, Wellcare, Affinity. Check with our staff if you have other types of coverage.
What is the difference between Medical Coverage and Vision Coverage?.....ask our staff!
VISION COVERAGE
Vision Coverage is for glasses and in some cases, contact lenses. Vision Plans accepted are: VSP, EYEMED, Davis, SPECTERA, Affinity and more.
Most vision plans are responsible for fabricating the eyeglasses and we are required to use their optical laboratory (lab). We order the glasses and when they arrive, our licensed opticians check the order. If they meet ANSI standards, we then prepare the glasses to be dispensed to the patient. If the order does not meet ANSI standards, then they have to be sent back to the vision plan lab and reordered. Unfortunately, we are not in control of the Vision Plan laboratories or their quality control. We pride ourselves in the speedy prescription services we provide for our patients; however, we never lower our exacting tolerances for the sake of time. Since we are responsible for your visual welfare, we would like to confirm that the diligent efforts of our examination have been met We will always strive to live up to your eyecare expectations. There's more to your prescription than meets the eye!
